    sheet browser organization..

I know (hope) this there is a simple answer for this issue. I need to find out if there is way to organize the sheets, in the browser (not the sheet index), by any other options than the ones given. I have "A" sheets and "C" sheets and I would like the "C" sheets to be listed before the "A" sheets. Any information is already appreciated. Thx!
    Thank you!

Create a parameter (number or letter) and assign to the sheets category (Instance)...assign all of your C Sheets to be A or 1 and the A sheets to B or 2...sort by that parameter ascending.

Do the same thing for Civil Sheets that don't want to follow the alphabet.

This. All of my sheets have a numerical prefix based loosely on NCS (National CAD Standards) formatting. I would (personally) avoid using letters, just to avoid potential confusion. It would be weird if your C sheets were all prefixed with A, your A sheets all have a C, etc (just wait until Plumbing is prefixed with F, which looks like Fire Protection :crazy

Thank you for responding. My inquiry is a little different than organizing the sheets for the index... When I print multiple sheets as a combined pdf, the sheet order, (in the pdf printer dialogue), is organized alphabetically, which causes an additional step of re-organizing the sheets so that the cover sheet and other "C" sheets are at the top of the document. I am curious if there is any directive in Revit that can adjust this alignment? Now that I am writing this out in more detail, I guess, I may need to look at the capabilities of pdf program. Thank you both for responding.
        Thank you!

Rather than a single digit, we assign a 3-digit number to our Sort Order parameter.
That way, if everyone (consultants) follows our standards, all they have to do is assign all of their Sheets to their "hundred" series.
          100s - Front end
          200s - Civil & Landscape
          300s - Structural
          400s - Architectural Plans
          500s - Arch Exterior
          600s - Arch Interior
          700s - Plumbing
          800s - HVAC
          900s - Electrtical

The 2nd & 3rd digit ("tens" and "ones") are the Floor # (we rarely get above 09)
Any other organization can be done within the 2rd & 3rd digits any way they want.

The Bluebeam PDF plugin for Revit will let you order sheets in the print dialog. Unfortunately Revit doesn't do that OOTB :banghead:

X-Rev Transmit orders sheets as well....but as Chad said, it doesn't work OOTB.

Excellent idea: This way, you can organize the order that the sheets print based on numbers that you assigned them, instead of using letters and relying on "tricking" the alphabetical order parameter. Also, if you're using Bluebeam Revu or most other PDF programs, you can choose how the sheets are combined in the "Print Settings".
                Which Direction Will You Choose?
