    Repeating and saving Structural connections

    Hi

I am working on a project that requires all the connections to be modelled, So I am busy using the structural connections tool in revit 2018, The problem is whenever I make a connection revit seems to forget it, That is if I have say 10 splices, shear connections, base plate that are the same or even similar to model I have to repeat the process of inputting the data each time almost for each one, they do copy around the same component, but still, how can I create customised connections. I want to input the data once, ie make a 360uB51 splice and every time I need to splice that guy I just click on the same connection type.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance

Сan you migrate to Revit 2019? Steel connections are greatly improved in Revit 2019, you can create custom connections and "explode" the standard ones.
However, there are still serious drawbacks that need to be considered: you can not create user connections for more than three elements (beams) and you can not schedule the volume / weight of the plates.

      Another options:
      Create families of steel connections.
Use Advance Steel and Advance Steel Extension.
