    AutoCAD DWG Points Display

    When linking AutoCAD DWGs that contain points (e.g. survey points) the symbols that display in AutoCAD don't display in Revit. Instead we literally get just a point, and these can be very hard to identify in Revit.

    Is there a way to force the points to display their AutoCAD symbols when viewed in Revit?

    Unfortunately AutoCAD points have no equivalent element in Revit.

          In the past I have created a new project and linked the point file, then linked that project into the project I need them to display. The Detail Level will display the points as a cube or cross hairs.

              Um...not true. They can be exploded. You need to be sure you have the Civil Add-in installed so Autocad can view it.

                why don't you modify your block in ACAD changing the point by a cross or something else?

                  We tried! I asked one of our expert AutoCAD users to help with this issue and we got nowhere. The point symbol block on the drawing does not allow block editing and the option to enable block editing for it is not available...

                    Revit does not have point as object def.
                    Xreffed as dwg neither.
                    Change your points into small circles. To help you, try a other forumboard
                    Points can not be exploded. Smallest object in hyrachie
