Just cleaning up my desk & reviewing/throwing out a bunch of old stuff.
I came across the notes on a class I took at AU.
    My note says:
"Legends - can't Tag now, but soon"

    Funny....

Another reason we are getting out of using Legends....

Can you imagine Revit being a phone, tablet or computer?

Curious, but not sure I'm following. Care to explain further?

If Revit was a phone and Autodesk said they would ad internet & email capabilities, they would have been out of business by now if they didn't comply.

My phone company promised me 10mb internet speeds....that was 10 years ago....they are still in business..

There are lots of items in Revit that I have "heard" were going to be implemented...I am still waiting on a lot of them. But that's all they are, rumors...you can't hold Autodesk to a rumor...

That is why we never say anything.

A quick google search produces this as top result: A Workaround for Tagging Components in Legends in Revit: AECbytes Tips and Tricks

This may or may not have been a shameless self promotion... (vote, should this be my new sig?)

edit: note that the post says I'll be publishing my first RevitTotD book soon... pretty on topic for this thread xD

I have learned something new today. Thank you. Also, "automagically" will be added to my regular rotation of words used to explain how Revit does stuff.

In my experience, automagically is the ONLY way to explain how things in Revit "work."
