2019 Revit drawing freezes when trying to save.

I just installed 2019 Revit. Sometimes I can save, but lately when I try to save a drawing/model, Revit will freeze and the any work is not saved. What do you suggest?

first suggestion: uninstall all of your add ins and try again. If Save works, install your add ins back one at a time until Save doesn't work. Bad Guy identified.

Thank you David for your comment. What add ins are there and where would they be?
I have tried auditing when opening a drawing with some success.

These are add-in locations for pre R2019 versions. I assume them to be the same for R2019

        C:\Program Data\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<year>
        C:\Users/<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\< year>
        C:\Program Files\Autodesk\<revitversion>\Addins
        C:\Program Data\Autodesk\Application Plugins

the reason that I thought maybe an add-in would be an issue is because I have an app that freezes both R2018 and R2019. Remove the app, everything works fine, re apply the app, Revit freezes solid.

good luck! oh, and you can call me Dave. Only my mother calls me David when I'm in trouble ;-P

It took 3-4 times for a Autodesk rep doing Team Player for my laptop to install Revit 2019 Architecture - Student version. All previous downloads were deleted and virus protection turned off to install. I thought I was in the clear. After starting a new drawing, I could not save the drawing with a circular cursor and a message saying that Revit was unresponsive that would not go away. I was advised on Revit Forum to delete the add ins (17 files on my computer), so I did without success as Revit was still unresponsive to saving. There is plenty of memory available. Got any suggestions?

Hi Dave, I deleted 20 add ins and checked other directories for more without luck. I have the problem on Revit City Forum, Revit Forum and the Autodesk threaded messages and hope and pray for an answer to this aggravation. Thank you, Patrick

My Dell laptop computer runs on Windows 10 Home Version 1803
The CPU is Intel(R)core)TM)[email protected] 2.7ghz
            Screen resolution is 1920x1080
Ram is 8GB (7.87 GB usable)
            OS Build is 17134.48
            Desktop name is kkugsgo
I could not find the HDD or Video Card specs. Where would I find those specs? I searched Settings, then System for the info above.
            Thank you, Patrick

I realized that my Dell streamlined desktop was more of a laptop and so I bought a gamer desktop with a powerful video card from Micro Center. Then I tried to reuse a 2015 tv/monitor which did not work with Revit, so I bought a gamer monitor. I tried to reuse an older Lexmark 3 in 1 and that was a problem too! So I bought an HP 4 in 1 and am sailing smoothly now. Lessons learned to play in the big league of Revit. Here goes . . .
Thank you for your help ya'll.
