    Can't install R2019?

Tried install option and browser download option. No Joy. The installation goes in the toilet after running for prox 1 hour. I get this dialog. Funny thing is, if I select the "Browser Download" option it takes me to HomeImprovement.com. WTF? Sometimes I wonder about our friends at Autodesk. Well, not so much my friends today! :banghead:

Go to %temp% on your machine and get the log... And post it?

Sent from my Phablet. Please excuse typos... and bad ideas.

I've installed the 2019 using the ADSK desktop application, apparently all was fine but.... the 2019 never wanted to run, so I remove it , .. once removed I've noticed that all my 2018 libraries were updated to the newest version without reason so I was blocked to use my 2018 libraries (happy to see this only affected the OOTB libraries and not my entire libraries) I'm not very sure what is the problem but I must go back to the 2018.3 without seeing all the changes the 2019 version has!!

If you have a licence, you have autodesk support....make them earn their money.

Something we've noticed recently is that if there are any Windows Updates pending on your system that haven't gone though, Autodesk Products will straight up fail installation. Have you tried downloading using AVA yet? We've had solid results using that method as opposed to either using the App Manager or the Autodesk accounts website.

I have seen an Autodesk install fail because Windows Update actually installs an update in the middle of the deployment install. I actually disable WU for the duration of the deployment install to avoid the issue. I also don't trust TURD (Totally Useless Redundant Downloader, AKA Desktop App) at all. My deployments have been built with a mixture of subscription portal downloads (so I can get my Suites installer), AVA downloads (for testing things that aren't in my Suite) and What Revit Wants direct links (for when ADSK is just behind) for years, with no problems.
One thing I discovered recently is that the Demo download is completely different from the other downloads, in that you can not create a deployment. If they are gimping it that way they could easily break it in other ways too, even unintentionally. So I now consider that demo download to be as suspect as TURD.

HAHAHAHAHA! I've used Autodesk products since 1990 and I have NEVER consulted AD support for anything. AD can earn their money by making the install process for BDS simple like it used to be. To get R2018 installed I had to uninstall each and every one of my Revit builds, clean out all Revit folders and files, and eliminate several registry keys and then reinstall everything, one at a time. I'm a detailer, not a computer tech and I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to install Revit.

Hi Gordon, while there may have been a pending WU I have my Win10 setup to only install them in the middle of the night so I don't believe that a concurrent WU and BDS install was the issue. I'm going to run down Luke's direct download links and try that.
