Is it possible to created 1D snap "point's" in families?

    Is it possible to created 1D snap "point's" in families?

    I've been starting to make more and more families for work, and have just been making due with snap planes.

    I have downloaded the occasional family from various manufacturers, and sometimes there will be a 1-dimensional point, in the center of the family, that can be used to snap a dimension measurement to, from any angle.

    For the life of me, I can't figure out how to create my own version of this single-point snap location.

    Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

    I think connectors behave this way. Not sure what else it might be.

      hmmm, thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't considered that before. I'll check into that as a possibility once I'm back in the office on Monday.
