    Complex Truss- Analytical lines

How do I add analytical lines to a truss shape that was started using the structural framing complex template? the truss contains double c shape beams for the top chord, then double horizontal L's for the tie beam, with a tie rod in the middle and parallel to the top chord beams.

Why did you use the complex template instead of a typical truss family? I'm genuinely curious because I don't make many structural families so other than I've figured out just stabbing blindly at the family don't really know the difference, other than one of them seems to not have an analytical model.

typical truss family has no geometry only lines and this is a very complex truss (at least in my opinion) see image.Click image for larger version

ID:	396258 The top chord is double C channels with 1" gap with tie rods in the gap, then double angles part way up. Arched Rolled inverted T shape arch, etc.

You would need to make some custom beams to account for the double members but getting that truss isn't hard from a Revit standpoint other than the constraint math could be ugly (mine is super ghetto and not really correct :hide

Whether it is correct is a different issue altogether
