change wall location line to wall centerline

    Hello Dynos,

I would like to reset the Location line to wall centerline - all walls How?
I found something in the forum(.dyn) but it doesn`t work. It seems to be not a "regular" Parameter. Need I access to the API via Python?
    Is there an easer way?

My first aim would be just to list this parameter visible(watch)

I would be glad to have some advise, info, screenshots, solutions,...

    KR

Maybe I don't understand the full extent of what you're trying to achieve, but couldn't you just select all the walls in a 3D view and change their values all at once in the properties browser?

The reason nothing is updating is most likely related to that you are imputing an “empty” list into your “set parameter”. Essentially you are telling Revit to set the parameter of Zero elements.

I use forms of the process often so to set the location of multiple types at once. Example set all exterior walls to “face of core”

Yes, this script is showing all the selected walls as already set to 0: Wall Centreline, with a few blanks - maybe curtain walls or MIP geometry?

Can you clarify what you are trying to achieve? Are you wanting to set ALL walls to centerline? Or a subset?

If you clarify your end goal more help may be possible

Try this simple process. If you want to set All walls, then only ones you need to filter out is those that do not have the “location line” parameter. - Alternatively you can run this with out the filter, you will get an error, but those that have it will be set.
