Rotating Building for sheets whilst keeping coordinates

    Hi,

I have an Arch model that I have acquired coordinates to. it is not a desirable orientation to work to or to place on sheets. I would like to be able to rotate the building purely for the purposes of ease of work and for presentation when issuing sheets but I want to retain the original building location and coordinates.

I have tried to just rotate the project north but it changes the original True North location. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

A scope box is the first thing that comes to mind for dealing with rotated views to be orthogonal on a sheet. That said, the ideal scenario is that you model the building in an orthogonal orientation first, then load it into a separate site model, set its elevation to the desired height and rotate it to suit your topo survey and finally, propagate its coordinates back to the building model. I used this guide (attached below, written by Steve Stafford who is also a forum member here) whenever I was learning how to locate buildings into their real world position.

You can rotate your views on a sheet, in case you did not know that, but just 90 degrees in both directions.

You can rotate the crop region on view/sheet in any angle you need but you have to do it for every view. This way you have the project north and the true north intact.
Scope box is a good idea too.

Some here like using rotated scope boxes, but uncrop your fully documented view and see what happens.

Would I not be able to relinquish the acquired coordinates, rotate the project base point to my desired orientation, link the Arch's model and acquire the coordinates again?
