    Transfer family parameters

    Hi,

I am looking for a way to transfer a set of parameters from 1 family to another. A bit like transfer project standards, but then with family parameters.

I came along a couple of interesting threads, but none of them seem to provide a solution:

    Parameter Jerk:
I have just created 4 expansion tank families. I also have an expansion tank schedule that reads Shared Parameters. If I import all the Shared Parameters into my 1st expansion tank family, is there any way to 'copy' all those shared parameters to the other 3 e.t. families (without having to import t...

However, the latest release is for 2014. Does not work on 2018.

    Shared Parameter Converter:
Hello,   I've been searching all morning and I don't think I'm going to like the answer to my question but here we go:   Revit 2016 has the revit extension for "shared parameters converter" to easily migrate batches of parameters from one family file to another.   Where can I find this in Revit 2017...

However, user quote: "It appears the shared parameters converter has been removed by AutoDesk on purpose."

So, I was wondering: Do you guys have a way of doing this?

THanks in advance for your help!

      After a bit of testing:

Looks promising, but it only lets me transfer Type parameters, not Instances.
Furthermore, shared parameters are transfered as family parameters.

If you have any further advice, please.

CTC Family Processor works on all types of parameters.

Sent from my Phablet. Please excuse typos... and bad ideas.

I'd go with CTC's tool, but I did see a "free" app in the Autodesk App Store that could do it for free if the budget is tight. It was last night & after reviewing official Revit 2019 stuff I was too tired & loaded with other info to be able to retain the name of that app.

Basically it will take specified parameters in a family & load them into other families.

Just load the family with the parameters on to one without them. Then delete the inserted family parts. The wanted parameters will stay in both families

              Hey,
Did this work OK. I used it and yes it works fine in that it transfers Parameters, but it does not carry through to Schedules (The fields are left blank)

              Any ideas?
