Masonry Wall Sweeps & Space for Steel Angles

I'm probably overthinking this, but is there a way to have a wall sweep for a shape (in this case a cast watertable) that will also cut out the wall below the sweep for grout / steel angles, etc? I know in sections I can use the View--> Cut Profile function to clean it up there, but then I'm left with a sliver of wall between my sweep and top of the opening that shouldn't exist. It is just big enough to actually see it on the elevations.

Looks like a line-based or maybe wall-based family with a few voids in it to cut the area's you want.
