Manage A360 Models VS Manage Cloud Models

    Hey,

Anyone have any clue how my sister office changed their collaborate settings from 360 to cloud under the manage models? They need to change back and they are not sure how too. It somehow also messed with their communicator and it will not open now.

not sure i understand? Are you talking about in revit? or on the BIM 360 Team project site? Can you send some screen shots? Communicator can be toggled on/off with the Icon in the Collaborate tab in Revit.

Within the collaborate tab, once a model is uploaded to A360, the manage model category shows a manage A360 model. Yet, in our sister company who also uses C4R, it randomly changed to manage "cloud models".

Ah ok....that change was made at the Revit 2018.2 update (if i remember correctly). What version of Revit are you both on? Be sure to install to the latest 2018.2

Yes; this is just a matter of there being different Revit update versions installed. That in itself is totally supported in C4R, so you shouldn't see any adverse effects. Are you seeing problems?

Unfortunately, They were having issues with their communicator not starting up after attempting to use the command once this changed occurred. Not sure if they are related...

They shouldn't be, but it sounds like they may in your case. The best way to dig further would be a support request, as I'm not away of any widespread issue in this area.

We are both still using Revit 2017. Will the 2018.2 update work with 2017?

The 2018.2 update will not work on Revit 2017, but installing the latest Revit 2017 update should get everybody working on the same code, and likely resolve your issue.

We were out of date on the version we were running. Hopefully this works. Thanks
