Copying and pasting between two models - change / match project origins

I am trying to copy and paste elements between two models. They are of the same building but in different design phases, so almost all of the copied elements are the same. (they're two different models for a few necessary reasons)

I want to be able to use the copy to current view (or same place) rather than copying elements to clipboard and then taking the additional step of moving them to the correct place in the new model after.

Is there a way I can change the model origin so it's the same as the one I am copying and pasting into (or vise versa) so I can paste align to current view?

I don’t know what you mean by change the model origin but the easiest way to copy between two models is to link one into the other and copy an element from the linked model by tab-selecting it and pasting it to same place.
