    View Range vs Plan Region

I've got a Plan Region that's not behaving as I would expect.
The model has a few upper cabinets that are lower than usual.
Because they are lower, they show as being Cut instead of displaying the Symbolic Lines
If I set the View Range of the entire View below the cabinets, they display the way I want, but it messes up the rest of the View
So I st the View Range back to normal and put a Plan Region around the cabinet. I set the Plan Region to the same as I had just tested in the sentence before, and it still cuts.
Why does a Plan Region work differently than a View Range with the same settings?

Plan regions can get funky when their boundaries are coincidental with families. Try moving the boundaries around a bit and see what happens?
