Door From Room - To Room

    Hei,
I have a question about possible option in Revit shedule. I need to write that one door is between room X and room Y. Is it possible? Automatically?

    Thanks in advance

Yes. You have the option to select parameters from rooms - To and From Rooms are a couple of parameters you can add to a schedule.

We've given up the whole "From/To" designation on our opening schedules & now we just list both Rooms side-by-side in the Schedule without calling out which is From and which is To.
Our Door suppliers tell us they don't use the schedule for From/To, they look at the plans.
And since there are a lot of doors that swing into the corridor (Health Care), but "belong" to the Room, we got the old "To Room" field wrong far too often.
It's additional work that tended to get forgotten a lot.
So now we just list them both as "Associated Rooms"

I dont even show rooms on the Door Schedules. At all. It doesnt actually provide more information, in most cases.

I've also quit putting the room on the door schedule. A lot of it stemmed from the issues that Dave mentioned with healthcare and doors swinging into the corridor. I then was a nerd and asked the door hardware folks and they pretty much echoed what Dave's hardware guys said.

In 30 years I've never put room names on door schedules, no one has ever asked for it

Maybe it's only unlucky me, but the old-times always want me to show it to coordinate/indicate the "Key Access" side with the Door Hardware consultant & show it on the Sheet :/
