Hi,
you can use paint by face, using a material named Visible_col_area, then make a material schedule.
otherwise, you will have to deal with calculated values with shared parameters, but it will be hard to have only visible area.

Yes, as Julien said, paint the surfaces, then create a material take-off schedule.
