    keynote HELP!!!

so i have about 30 floor sinks that i am putting in this building, and we are keynoting each floor sink. so having to click on the keynote button, click on what you are wanting to add this to, adjust the location of the leader and then selecting the specific keynote that you want to have. doing these steps 30 times is a pain in the (insert your own word)

is there a way to automate this a little? i just want to try and improve this. if i was doing this in Autocad then it would just be a simple copy and paste.

    please help

If it's the same keynote for each item, I usually place one, then copy and place based on keynote location. Then I adjust the leaders afterwards. If they can all have the same leader length, then my basepoint is the leader tip. That's the most efficient way I know of. Hope that helps.

The issue with that is that it is telling me "some tags were not copied because they could not fin a host"

so it seems that a copy and past isnt able to be done.

Are you using User Keynotes? Thats the only reason why you would have to select the Keynote each time.

        Use an Element Keynote.

        1. Click Keynote Command
        2. Click Element to place pointer
        3. Click to place leader shoulder
        4. Click to place Shoulder end

And you only have to do 3 and 4 if you have your leaders set up that way.
