I need to span wood studs with window screen (because I work on high end projects like that), and thought I would use a curtain wall with mullions for the studs and thin curtain panels in front of the mullions as the screen. The only hangup is the screen should be one roll across the wall and studs, but each panel joint is visible. Is there a trick beyond the linework tool to make the curtain panels look like a single panel in front of the mullions?

David: Thank you for the suggestion. I want the studs behind the screen, so that inside you see studs and outside you see one sheet of screen. As the length of screen increases, so does the number of studs, which is why I followed my first guess of curtain wall. I'm not immediately sure of how to do that with a generic family.

if you'd like a project with these curtain walls just PM me

Thanks for the confirmation, Dave. Your example looks just like I imagined. I will keep it in mind - this project, like every project, is sure to become more complicated and replacing my single curtain wall (with adjusted linework at elevations) with two adjacent curtain walls just may be justified before I'm done...

It is possible, even easy once you get the hang of it, to make families that add pieces as the family gets longer. You should be able to find examples of things like ladders that add rungs as it gets taller. My ID was stolen. Now I'm only called Dav
