    Place Views on sheets - lots of

    I have a project I'm doing for a multi-story tower block, I have to say like 20 floors, 1 view for each floor, times about 8 1 for each discipline.

    thing is I have to get all these views onto separate sheets :banghead:

    is there any quick way of doing so?

    Cheers

    Don't have a script lying around, but I guess Dynamo is your best bet (will be looking at this myself for a project in the near future). Might take some time creating the script, but it beats making 160 sheets, filling in the data and placing a view on each of them.

      Yep!
      This should get you started;

      I think this is a common desire for many users of dynamo is to automate views and sheet creation. There are many posts and requests on this forum for it… I found useful information is spread across the net. As I expect there are many who have created useful graphs, and many new users interested, the intent for this post is simply to share what I found useful in one place. View.Sheets.ByNameNumberTitleBlocksAndViews does not have any control for placement. After lots of trial and searching,...

      Or try this dynamo script to begin with (You will have to modify it to work with your own methods of numbering etc but it should give you an idea how to do it);

          Go to packages and search for Clockwork and Archi-lab. Download them and it should work. If you are still missing any then search for the node name to see what package they are in, but I mostly only use those two.

          Thats kind of the thing with Dynamo.. You cant really expect to just download a script and run it, theres always some adjustment needed to your own setup and parameters etc. But well worth getting to grips with.
          Basically anything that revit should be able to do but wont let you.. can be done with Dynamo.

              Not a video, but here's the best place to start with Dynamo:

              You can't expect to just install it and crank out a 10-story building that afternoon.
              You have to invest some time and learn what it does and how it works.

                I'm trying not to sound like an advertisement, but I've used the Sheet Duplicator add-in in 2017 with success.

                Although if I could work it in to learn Dynamo I would.
