    Wall wrapping at abutment (wall thickening)

    I am trying to join a 100mm blockwork wall with a dry lined plasterboard finish to a thicker wall (440mm blockwork) of the exact same build and get the wall dry lined finish to wrap correctly (at 'x') to show the dry lining wrapping around the wall. All looks fine before I join the walls together but when I do wrapping is missed on the return abutment to the thinner wall. I've tried everything I know but cannot get it to work.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Try experimenting with:
    Wraps at Ends in Wall Properties
    Disallow Join-right-click blue dot at end of wall

      Almost! Thanks for the idea but doesn't quite work. I have tried all options for wraps at end in properties with no joy. I'm convinced there's something odd going on.

              So what I'm getting from all this is that Revit cannot natively do something seemingly really, really simple and that occurs in millions and millions of buildings around the world??!! Wow, just wow.

              Siiiggghhhhh........Every time I dip my toe back into Revit something like this crops up, something simple yet almost impossible, just to remind me why I loathe Autodesk and the way they develop their software.

              Does anyone from Autodesk even bother to come to places like this and get some hints about how they could actually make their software products easier to use, more user friendly and maybe efficient? I'm guessing not.

              So disappointed.

                If you are THAT upset about something like Wall Joins, i cant imagine you're going to enjoy working in Revit at ALL.

                Having said that, for a number of OTHER reasons i would have those modeled as separate walls anyway. At which point they look perfectly correct.

                  To do this do you just make a wall from just the timber battens and plasterboard (i.e. one sided with no masonry core) and then align it to sit on the face of the end of the thicker blockwork wall?

                    I wouldn't say upset, just perpetuity disappointed that things like this in Revit are no further on than they were 10yrs ago. Autodesk are asleep.....or just sat there counting their money.

                    With regards to modelling as separate elements how would have split the wall? I'm happy to go down this route, just need to be pointed in a direction. What also are those other reasons, I'd like make sure I'm approaching all this in the correct way.
