    Changing offset value

I'm constantly using offset in my projects but I bounce back and forth on how far I'm offsetting objects. I currently have a key on my keyboard macroed to the offset function and what I would really like is if I could just hit that macro and then have it automatically require me to type in the offset value. I think this would save me time in the end. So for an example say I want to offset something 1' I'd want to "hit "m4", type in 1, hit enter" and then offset away. If I wanted to change it I'd just want to "hit "m4", type in 2, hit enter" As it is now, if I hit m4 I have to mouse over to the offset amount and click and then change it.

It's not going to save a ton of time but there should be some way I can set up a macro or something for this to work. Any ideas?

Just found a thread from a few months ago, and in that thread nobody had any ideas how to make it work. I really think there should be some way to make the program do this with via macro management... Unfortunately I have very little knowledge of macro management. If I don't hear anything back on there then I'm going to dive into it myself and see if I can figure out a way to do it in the macro manager.

Agree, the offset can be a pain especially with inputting. Dont do it carefully every time and you might not input the right amount. Needs to be a bigger window. An immediate shortcut would be fun.

An Immediate shortcut is exactly what I'm looking for. There's gotta be a way to set up a macro to automatically "click" into the offset area upon clicking the offset button. Can't imagine a program as powerful as revit can't be customized like that.
