ELEVATION(level from origin) IN DOOR/LINTEL TAG FAMILY

    Hi everyone,

I attempting to create a door that incorporates a lintel (shared family).

The problem comes when I tag this family. I would like to show the elevation (from the base point) in the tag instead of using the “spot elevation” tool.

I have no idea how to achieve this.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi; I'm assuming that you are talking about Nested Family when you say shared family, So is quite simple actually, you must edit your Door Tag and add a Height label which you'll find when you hit on the add label tool, see image, my Revit is in french but I'm sure that in English is pretty much the same thing, hope this helps, regards

Thank you for you quick reply.

However, what I need is the level from the project base point.

In think you can say "arase inferieur du linteau par rapport à l'origine du projet" in French.

Hi Thass00, I got it, so basically is the same explanation but you need to look for the parameter called Height under lintel, Headroom height , Height under header (or something like that) and add it to your TAG, sorry I don't remember the name of that parameter in English, hope this helps

Not sure if doors (or anything else?) are aware to that degree ootb? Dynamo can quite easily compare your values and write them to custom parameter/s if needed
