Trouble with loading my door family

    Hello to you all,

I'm having some trouble with loading my door family into a project.
In my door family, i have 4 types of doors (one closed, 3 with glass) within 1 doorframe.
When i load the family into a project, there's only 1 door (for example the closed one) visible. Even if I select another door (one with glass), the visabilaty won't change.
I don't know what i'm doing wrong and i can't find something on youtube or something like that.
It's probably something in the properties but i can't figure it out..

Please, can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong so i can fix it and have 1 family with 4 doortypes?

(sorry for my english, it's not my native tongue)

Are you using nested door panels or visibility parameters?

      Welcome to the forum!

We have an upload function, if you can share the .rfa we might take a look!

I'm using this .rfa file. It's in Dutch, i hope you can look at it.

I'm looking everything through right now and i notice that i can only switch between the closed panel and just one door with glass. Eventhough all 4 door types are loaded into the family. I also linked the parameters from every door into this family.

I've seen somewhere that you have to make some doors invisable, but i don't know how.

Hi swarchitecten, Probably not you want to hear but, I've looked into your family and (I'm Sorry) but is a mess :hide:, none of your parameters works properly, you have a lot of parameters and none of them seems to be rightfully mapped.

First things first, you may need to re-draw your entire geometry but before that you need to check if the parameters work, how??, make things simplest as you can, first check if your reference planes are well constrained, secondly check if your parameters work with your reference planes, test different sizes in both views plan and section, then once those parameters work you'll need to add more parameters, if you want I've modeled some doors recently and I can help you if you give me enough information to be able to model that door, regards

here this is one of my doors, I guess you may understand better things if you deconstruct my RFA file, regards

By the way my RFA file is in french but I'm pretty sure you"ll understand how those parameters work , but if don't , please send me a message I'll explained you

ahh, I've almost forgot that @Aaron Maller upload some great content this week you can learn a lot by working with it's files, this is the post https://www.revitforum.org/architect...tml#post196499

It's no problem, i've allready thought that maybe it's better to start a new one. I'm 'just' an intern so almost everything in Revit is new for me. Thanks for your reply though
