    Thick Lines and Base Plate

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and a beginner in Revit.

I am trying to sketch a 12mm rectangular 2 hole base plate over 75 x 5 SHS. But the square cross section of the column is looking very thick.
Need to change some settings so that it can look like a normal thin line and can be used for sketching. Also what is the best way to model this base plate over the column. Please help.

    Thanks in advance.

Type TL or click the Thin Lines in the shortcut bar.

I can't believe I'm disagreeing with you, MP, but using Thin Lines will only affect the screen display, not the printed version of that family.
cadedge, you need to select a different Line Type when drawing that base plate.
How are you creating that? Lines (bad idea)? Filled Region? Extrusion? (preferred)

I was figuring that the OP is building a family....all the lineweights in there are always really thick. Once they get into the project then they look fine.
