Is it possible to set different centerlines for rectangular vs circular ducts?

    Hi,

Just wondering this as I have the following example: 2 ducts in the same system but some are round and some are rectangular and I'm wondering if I could get the centerline to better distinguish them. Changing the lines with a filter didn't really seem to work well as it affects the outer lines as well.

Example images - Circular and rectangular ducts looking the same form above
Then having a filter focusing on the "Type name" (Rectangular) and changing the lines in the filter, but the result isn't really what I wanted.

What are you trying to achieve by doing this? I think you wanted to differentiate different duct types of as per your company standards.

In Hidden Line views round ducts show centerline and rectangular ducts dont.
In Shaded views its obvious which are round from the gradient.
      Sooo... just dont use Wireframe?

Otherwise use a Filter with a pattern override, it wont affect the outer lines

        Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. This is related to the Finnish building standards where round and rectangular ducts are represented if different ways by centerline. I'm not perfectly familiar with all the demands yet and this is something I'll probably have to wrestle a bit with before I'm completely at home with them all, as well as what can be achieved in Revit.

I think Joseph's answer could be quite ideal.
