    how do i create a 1" x 1" mullion from an existing mullion ?

I have what i think should be a simple task, to duplicate an existing rectangular vertical mullion in my curtain wall and make it 1" x 1" ?! Please advise, i attched the image for reference. When i click on the mullion the option to duplicate the rectangular mullion family is greyed out!? any help greatly appreciated !!!!:banghead:

what category is that mullion? It doesn't look like a typical curtain wall mullion in the PB listing. Right click on the mullion listing in the Project Browser and select Edit. That should open the family file. Do a save as and alter the object in the family to be 1" x 1" then reload in your project, select the old mullion and in the Properties window scroll to the new family name and select it and the 1" x 1" mullion will replace the old one. If it were a curtain wall mullion it would be a completely different process

I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!

You can select the mullion in your family browser, right click it and choose Duplicate there. Then you can edit the Type Properties and add a different profile (which you need to make first of course) to it. Then you can use it in your curtain wall.

Check the glazing offset... It's more than 0.

Select the panel. Edit type, then at the top you'll see offset.
