    Creating a comment note

    In revit working with a project i would like to put notes on different sheet for internal use in the office. These notes could say for instance "we have to work more with this detail" or "remember to change this door". Then i would like to make a list with all the notes from the different sheets. Kind of a "to do list".

    I have managed to make such a note using generic annotations. So this is a symbol with a number in it and have parameters with, note number, sheet number, sheet name and the comment. I have also managed to get a list of all the notes in the project and sort them after theese values.

    The thing is that i would like to get this informataion automaticly. I have to manualy type in the sheet number and sheet name for every note and also manualy sort the numbering. How can i make a note symbol that i just place on different sheets and that gets these parameters automaticly?
    Remember these are just annotations on sheets and should not a have to be linked to any elements.

    + Bonus question. Is it posible to make this never to print.

    One way is DWF your sheet, make your notes and link the DWF back to the sheet. Another is the path you are on and you can schedule that tag and the description of the tag. Unfortunately I don't know of anyway to make them not print, but if all your notes are either above or to the right of the sheet you can print the sheet with no margin defined and they won't print.

      We have the same (not that anyone really uses them) - but we don't worry about the collecting the sheet name (the sheet number is enough) - and don't employ an ID-esque "counter" either as the comment itself is (or at least was) sufficient for our needs.

      Everything you want to do is entirely do-able with a bit of a Dynamo... but then all of this is OOTB markup functionality of many dedicated tools (like Design Review, alluded to above by Scott) and whilst I applaud a want to have everything in Revit, having pushed at this door before, I'd warn you to not get your hopes up that people will run to this method.

        So the way to get it is using dynamo? Do you know any tutorials that is about this kind of similar topic in dynamo?

          Troy Gates created a Do Not Plot addin: https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Det...ng=en&os=Win64. Might be able to use that.

            Thanks cellophane, i will check that link out. Is there any others on the topic of creating an annotation block using dynamo?

              These ones we have created (if you want to use them, dont forget to read the PDF!); I dont bother with sheet name or number since you can select it in your schedule and then "Highlight in Model"

                Are you putting them on sheets or on views. If on sheets, it could be a hacked "titleblock" that has the sheet number and name, then add all your parameters - should work.
                Not print - visibility parameter that is type based. Before printing, turn it off. Afterward, turn it back on.

                  You could just place them outside your title block boundaries and set your print settings to 0 offset (not centre or fit to page).
