    Foundation plan - Hidden lines/ Edge lines

    Hi,

    I have an issue with my foundation plan. I don’t understand why there are a line between two elements (isolated foundation and a beam) with the same thickness. I could use the linework tool but I don’t find it effective in this case.

    Are both elements the exact same material?

      Hi Tony,

      Both elements are <by category>. I set both elements to the same material in the Object Styles Manager and…voilà. That works.

      However, this does not seem to work retroactively. All the elements that have already been modeled are shown as before.

        The material parameter for structural framing (beam) elements is an instance property, therefore you'll first have to "select all", and then change the material.
