    Custom Profile on Curved stairs

    Hello everyone,
    I am trying to model a curved stair with a custom tread profile (a simple U shape).
    The issue I have is the U does not change in width following the step, but stays constant. See pictures below.
    Any idea?

    Revit's profile-based risers/treads will always create singular extrusions - where technically you're after a blend.

    I don't fight nearly enough with the stair tool to state categorically you've reached the end of what they can do OOTB - but I get the distinct impression if there is a way with the OOTB stairs, it would be quite long in itself.

    Me? I'd probably get modelling a custom family component.
