Recovery File in a Work Shared Model

If an end user's local file crashes before SWC, and they accept the prompt to save a recovery file, will this file still be compatible with the central model and allow a sync? Or, does the end user only have the ability to copy/paste elements from the recovered file to the new local?

When researching the issue (Google), I ended back to RF and Gordon's post from 2011 addressing this issue. I'll run with this advice. Thanks Gordon

Recovery file can SWC, unless something has gone horribly wrong. If something has gone horribly wrong, it'll tell you.

Detach file - Make this central model

Hello all,

I created a new revit file detached it from the central model and I selected the first option 'Detach and Preserve Worksets'....

Work not saving??

Recovery File after crash

Repeated corrupt file!!!
