hidden line showing wireframe / graphics / hidden line not displaying properly

This is a problem i've seen over and over again in various versions of revit. At some point hidden line views stop functioning. In this case we have heavy railings and perhaps that has something to do with it.
We are running dell precision workstations with nvidia quadro m2000 4gb graphic cards.

I've seen old solutions, (delete view, recreate view, etc ..) , but those didn't resolve the problem. On my laptop, turning the crop on and off, fixed the problem, but unfortunately the same solution applied to the workstation didn't work.

Is this a graphics card problem ??

Does the view change when you zoom in and out. Seems like it might be a graphics card issue.

I've had this happen as well and while it's more likely a driver problem than a card problem I've found a few things that work. Give these a shot:

        * Create a new 3D view and see if the problem is persistent in the new one.
        * Turn on/off anti-aliasing in the view settings
        * Enable "Simplify display during view navigation" in graphic settings for Revit
        * Enable "Draw Visible Elements Only" in hardware settings for Revit
        * Disable hardware acceleration in hardware settings for Revit

When something funky like this happens to me, typically making a new 3D view will work. Keep us updated on what works!

solved graphics hidden line issue revit

so ... some of the previous suggestions worked in the past, but not in this model. By pure chance I tried something that ended up fixing the view, without having to duplicate it or play around with drivers or settings. All I did was, refresh to an orthogonal cube view, in this case the front view, and then switch back to an axonometric ... don't know why, but this works !!!
