Reveal Model (or Annoatation) Category of an element/familly

Is there a way to quickly find out what Model Category, Annotation category etc that an element/family falls into? For example, we have a ton of view templates, and sometimes when I am working on a model, I will add a family from another project, and its not visible in that view because one of the categories is unchecked. I want to be able to quickly identify its category so I can adjust the visibility settings. This is just one example / instance of how this would be useful. I just want easily be able to delineate if something is a site element, furniture, casework, etc so I can make the appropriate changes.

Its category will show in the properties window when selected and in the status bar when pre-selected (assuming it's not in a link). You can still tab-select elements in links and see their category in the properties window. How are you adding objects from the other model? If you are opening the family you can also just check the family category menu in there as well.

ahh! thank you. I see it in the lower left. Yes, I noticed when you open the family you can see it as well. I was hoping for a quicker way and looks like the status bar is perfect. Thanks again!
