    Label on generic model family

    Hello,

    I have a question.

Pls tell me a way to add a label(in view) to my generic model family. It's important that a label would be a family type name.

Simply, I want to show a family type name to my facade boards on my elevation drawning.

You will need to create a generic model tag to read the information. I've never done it, but I believe you can tag type name. I usually use something like description since it's a little more flexible.

I tried creating a generic annotation with a label than add it to my family, but then ,, While loading "TEXT TAG": Shared annotations cannot be used in 3d model families."

I tried a lot of metods but all fall.

The tag is loaded into the project and then applied in the view you want it to show up. You can nest generic annotation into families for a similar effect, but they will show up everywhere and not be adjustable at all. There are a number of reasons why that is not recommended.
