    New overlays in existing templates...

I'm new onto a huge project that's been running 8 or so months, and one of the problems we're having is that when we drop a new overlay - a .dwg or an .rvt or whatever - it appears switched on in all the view templates we've set up, so we have to laboriously go through a load of templates and turn the new stuff off every time we drop something in. Surely there's a setting somewhere that says 'do not add new overlays to existing view templates'?

I don't believe you can set that option on a per-link basis. However, you can insert the links onto worksets and manage the worksets with VTs. You could choose to have one workset for all links or one workset for each link.

Thanks for that, I'll set it up. I will have to be careful, because we do have some links that need to be on in some views; civils, existing etc
