PLEASE HELP!!! Centralising an image to a surface.

    Hi All,

Im trying to apply an image in a family to a surface and then align the image to be central in the surface. I have applied the image to the surface as a material, after scaling it to fit the desired surface height and width and also setting the surface pattern to the same dimensions as the image and then aligning it with the image using the texture alignment tool.

All seems to go to plan while in the family, i go to realistic view and the image is in the desired position, however once loaded into the model the image is offset. I have tried then to offset the image by 50%, but this still does not affect the image position once loaded into the model.

Hopefully someone can make sense of this.

    Cheers.

You will need to use a Model Pattern on the surface of the material, and then use the Texture Alignment Tools in the Material Editor, to move the Image with respect to the Model Pattern, since you cant "move" Materials by "aligning" the model pattern, when its on a family.

    Totally works, though.

I've done all those steps, but as previously mentioned the image changes position once loaded back into the model. See images attached for clarification.
The first 3 images are the steps mentioned, and the last image is what i get when loaded back into the project.

Use the Texture Alignment in the Project, not in the Family Editor.
