    autocad sucks

For the past week or so ive been helping out a team doing an autocad project. I havent spent a lot of time producing drawings in autocad but this experience has taught me why builders have such an aversion to architects. Autocad is slow, clunky and coordination between drawings is a nightmare. Id rather go back to hand drawings.

yeah did a very small 1 day project 2 weeks ago where everything was in AutoCAD already and doing it over in Revit would have cost me twice as long, but it sucks indeed. Had to go over plans, elevations and sections to check if my changes were on all of them, making sheets with viewports you have to scale is a pain in the a$$ and when I got to printing I did not have the right plotstyle.

LOL! Elton, I feel the pain! But, you need to use more up to date references. I would bet that over 1/2 of those that frequent this forum have never seen a real "hand drawing" in person...

LOL, I spent my early years as Architect drawing in AutoCAD and I feel your pain too, AutoCAD can be so quirky ; since I've changed to Revit all in my professional life goes better, ah and I came out from an technical Bachelor school so I used to draw with ROTRING isograph pens :coffee:, regards
