    Error: Constains no loop

I have done a profile in a family and I want to load into a project(in project 3D wall is created)-then I have got an error message:
Can't make type "Wall Sweep: Wall Sweep contains no loops. A simple rectangle also has been drawn and still an error message is coming up.
There are not any more lines etc.
Also, I have put into Profile usage-wall sweep etc. I have been drawing those profiles many times and there is the same message.
It is very annoying. Am I doing anything wrong in a family-even during a drawing just a simple rectangle?

    Any ideas?

    What Am I doing wrong?

How did you start this family, it doesn't look like a Profile Family?

You should go Revit>New>Family, navigate to Metric/Imperial Profile.rft and start from there.

A profile family should not have the functions available to make 3D geometry.

I thought it is a Profile Family? It has got a .rfa name file. What is it then?
I have not got the same profile template, as you have atttached. My templates are with 3D etc.
Where can I download the same family profile,as you are referring to?
              Cheers

EVERY Family is a .rfa file, whether it is a Profile family or not. As has been explained above, if you dont START the family from the correct Profile family TEMPLATE, it will not work, no matter what.

As Bjorn said, you'll need to start by creating a new family using the "Profile.rft" template.
Here's where my templates are for 2017.
                  C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2017\Family Templates\English_I\Profile.rft
That will vary by version and location, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out your path.

Could you send me a sample of a Profile Family from a template?I think that I am missing it in my template?
                    Cheers
