    Coping to curved beams

Is there any way to cope a beam to a curved beam?

I can't make it work. I can cope the curved beam to a straight beam, but not the other way round.

Has Revit always been this way?

There is a tab in the structures ribbon called "assemblies" (at least I think this is the English name, my version is in french and its called "assemblages" - translated = assemblies)

You could try this, but I'm not sure it will give you the result you want.

Often when the coping tool does not want to play nicely, I just use the "opening by face" tool to create the form I need, or you can always also create a void/sweep to do the job you need.

the end of the curved beam has to be exactly tangent to the face of the straight beam otherwise it won't work. why not just cope from the curved beam to the straight beam?

      Regards.
