    Revit 2011 - Project Browser & Properties Pallete takes up the entire screen

    In Revit 2011, some experience that the Project Browser & Properties Pallete takes up the entire screen, while it´s imposible to resize them.
    The problem can be fixed by following these steps:
    1. Close Revit
    2. Run "RegEdit" from the Windows Start
    3. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2011\Components\Panels
    4. Change value of "ProjectBrowser" to: L,1,0,0,0.500000,220,-1,-1,-1,-1,N
    5. Change value of "PropertiesPallete" to: L,0,0,0,0.500000,220,-1,-1,-1,-1,N
    6. Close RegEdit
    7. Restart Revit 2011


    This fix is tested on Windows 7, but should work for Vista/Xp as well.

    I had such a problem in Windows7 x64, but I'm working with limited user rights and can't edit the registry.
    If I enter an administrator it's all right.
    tried to use the utility from autodesk (ui reset) and delete this folder - (KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit {Product Name} 2011\), nothing helped.
    then reinstall Windows
    Any ideas how could I fix it?

      You may need to have your user account set to Administrator long enough to do the work while logged in as yourself, then set it back. When you are logged in as Administrator HKEY_CURRENT_USER is pointing to a different part of the registry than when logged in as you.

              Actually, there´s an even easier fix, if you don´t mind that the entire User Interface gets reset:
