Pushing data to rooms from Excel

I think the list.map node is what i want for the situation outlined below, i'm just having trouble getting my head wrapped around it and was looking to see if anyone has some direction that i could take and learn from.

Basically, i have a project with say 100 rooms and the ground floor. Most of these rooms have a unique identifier (room number). There is an Excel file that has a giant list of all the rooms, their number, programmed area, occupancy, department. I'd like to push all of that data into the revit model, but am hitting some road blocks because the number of rooms don't exactly match, and i haven't found a way to use the room number as a key that links them together. my limited knowledge of the list.map node makes me think it is the right track, but i can't seem to figure it out. any pointers?

A Dictionary is probably what you need. This could help for a start:
