    Revit Family Grips

    Hi there,
Could you please explain how can I create a rectangle ( or ground beam), which could be modified in a project:
for example: in family I create a ground beam width, depth, height. When I download it into a project I can not modify a size in my project etc.
I can modify it only in Properties/Edit Type, but I can not do it on my plan/project.
    Any tips?

I think this is what you are trying to do.

You can add shape handles to a loadable family that display when the family is loaded into a project. The shape handles let you resize the component in the drawing area, instead of creating multiple types in the Family Editor. See About Controls and Shape Handles. Example of a generic component in plan and 3D views with shape handles added To add shape handles to a component family, you must: Add reference planes to the family
