I'm starting a project in R2017 and I notice that I can no longer select a text box, select anywhere on the border and drag/move the text leaving the leader shape intact. I have the move icon in one corner and the rotate icon in another corner and the only way to move the text box is to use the move icon, which leaves the leader behind or use the Move command which makes the text and text box invisible when moving it. Yikes, wtf is up with this?? Is there a setting somewhere that controls this situation?

Dave,
you might find you have the 'drag elements on selection' button turned off, down bottom right of bottom bar.
when that's turned off, you have to click once to select an object, then click again to move it.
It's a safeguard, for example so you don't move something simply when you were trying to window something else.
when its turned on, I find i can with one click drag the text box, when it is there unselected. If it is selected, then yes, i use the move icon top left of text box.
hope all this makes sense.Motorbike riding is one long bezier curve

OTB text leaders default to the bottom. Does anyone know how to change the default to top?
Thanks
