    Reference plane

I am newly learning Revit and in the tutorials i am following We inserted a site plan and were supposed to create reference lines to help us with the drawing of our elevations and section. I have been following ever step he's been doing but my lines wouldnt show on my elevations. What should I do?

They could be turned off in the eleveation view. Go to the Visibility/Graphics (VG) windows, to the Annotation Categories tab and look for Reference Planes, if the little tick in front of it is off, turn it on.

also, in addition to Robin's suggestion, please be aware that Ref planes are only visible in views perpendicular to the plane the RP was created in. IOW if you make an RP in an East/West direction you can see it in an East or West elevation but not in a North or South elevation. Even a tiny angle off plane will obscure an RP in an elevation view
I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!

Make sure its a reference plane, not a reference line.
