Sun Path, Sun Settings, Rotate Project North

    Hey guys,

Anyone noticed when you rotate project north that the sun path does not follow? Is there a way to change this? Anyone come across this? In this case I rotated project north before starting to build my model because of my preferred building/sheet layout (wanted project north to the left)... I also rotated true north...

When I started creating perspectives, I noticed the shadows were wrong... When I checked the sun path it didn't rotate as I had expected... Any advise here? Is this just the way it is?

Try turning the sun path on and back off, that works for me. But yes it doesn't seem to work until after the On/Off toggle. You could also force the view to redraw, like change scale or detail level.

    FYI i tested in 2016, 2017 and 2018

That seems to have worked! Thanks Nicholas! I also JUST noticed, when I right click on the sun path there's an option to fit to model... could that be the command that's being process when the sun path is toggled?

Great! I also found in my testing that if you rotate project north via the Project Base Point widget there is no issue(Revit 2018).

There are a couple things being done when you toggle the sun path on and off. The most important thing for your issue is that you are forcing a redraw of the sunpath element. Click the fit to model option will likely work for your issue too, but i haven't tried it.

        Thanks!
