Weird View Template problem in 2017

Having some weird issues in Revit 2017, just wanted to see if others have had the same issue.
I have a view template set for some unit plans. In this template, furniture is set to halftone, and electrical fixtures are turned off. However, in one unit, out of the 10 with the template, furniture is gone completely and the electrical fixtures are visible.

If i remove the template, and check VV, furniture is turned off and electrical is on (which is not in the view template), if i then reapply the view template everything looks good. The problem is that this randomly happens to views once or twice a day and i can't figure why this is happening or pinpoint exactly when it happens. Any ideas?

Have you tried creating a new central model to replace the other yet?

There have been a couple of known "bugs" that make View Templates fail to regenerate on views. I had it happen a lot in 2016. I havent seen it as much in 2017, but im sure its happened. FWIW ive found i dont have to take the VT off and then cycle it back on, if i go in and change something in the main VT window (change the scale, then change it back, etc).

Annoying, to be sure. Ive never been able to isolate the cause.
