Delete all Views and Sheets in model

    Hi all,

Got to strip out all our views and sheets to give to a client. Just leaving one overall 3d view.

Whats the quickest and most efficient way to do this please?

    Thanks

Shift-Select all views and sheets in the Project Browser and delete? Shouldn't need any 3rd party apps. Then Purge Unused, run 3 times to get everything.

I tend to just have a schedule of views, sheets and even schedules sometimes
Then delete rows and leave any that I may want to keep for what ever reason

        Then purge unused

I've never actually used etransmit, do you have control over what that removes?

I don't understand this need for other 3rd party software. I just went to a new blank file, opened the default 3D view, Shift-Select all views in PB and then Ctrl-deselect the 3D view, then hit delete. All views gone. Shift-select all schedules, Legends, and sheets. Everything gone. Purge unused 3 times. It should take no more than 20-30 seconds, unless it's a big model and the purging takes awhile.

The possibility of cleanup of the etransmit is not the reason why I use it.
What I most appreciate is the redirect of the links.

If you have custom view types, you cant do it that way. Selecting the parent heading of the View Types makes it so you cant use the delete key, or right click > delete (the delete key only deletes view types that are already expanded when you select them). And frankly... If you DONT have Custom View Types, you are missing out on a TON of efficiency.

You can use the "special shortcut keys" to auto-expand entire sections of the Project Browser, then scroll all the way through it to select everything, but its still a bunch more time.

Frankly, i dont see a point in deleting them at all. But thats a debate thats been rehashed a billion times, in all forums and mediums, so i wont bother with that again. But my answer? Just dont delete them. Send that bad boy just how it is in your office.

I'm not sure if I follow. If I select the first Floor Plan view at the top of the PB, then shift-select the last Drafting View in the PB (or area plan or whatever is last), then ctrl-select my current view, I can delete everything with one press of the Delete key, even with the view type headings selected.

Any links to suggestions for the PB? I'm always looking for ways to improve our template. Right now we just have the usual All Views or Not On Sheets, with headings for floor plans, ceiling plans, 3D views, elevations, sections, details, drafting views and area plans. Then legends, schedules, sheets, etc. Are you referring to custom view types such as separate elevation types for interior and exterior, with separate view templates? We definitely do things like that. But we don't do any type of special view sorting in the PB like by discipline, etc. because we're just architectural in this office.
