Hi All,
Apologies if the title is a little misleading or ambiguous - I wasn't quite sure how to word my problem.
I have a conceptual mass, which I've divided into a surface and then placed a 10pt adaptive component family onto.
The adaptive component is designed to emulate tapering timber ribs.
The issue I'm having is that each rib does not extend back to the ground plane (see attached image).
I realise this is because the profiles which are drawn on first and last placement points are drawn on the plane which is normal to curve at that point (you can see how I've drawn the base profile for the rib in the attached image), however, if I attempt to draw my profiles in the adaptive component family parallel to the ground plane at the first and last points, when I select the profiles and the spline through points and hit create form I am shown the 'Can not create form' error message.
Any idea on how to have the base of each rib extend to the ground plane?
I've attached the revit file (had to delete some of the forms due to size restrictions) if anyone needs it.
Thanks in advance!
