project base point & survey Point

    hi,

    Kindly explain the difference between
    1. project base point (Clipped)
    2. project base point (Unclipped)
    3. Survey point (Clipped)
    4. Survey point (Unclipped)

Mainly I am confusing about the difference between clipped and unclipped state.

    Thanks for guiding me.

Don't ever "move" either the PBP or the Survey Point. It you always use acquire, publish, or specify coordinates at a point, you don't have to worry about clipped or unclipped.

Sent from my Phablet. Please excuse typos... and bad ideas.

Clipped = changes actual position settings (generally not a good choice)
Un-Clipped = Changes the symbol position only, does not actually change anything.

As Aaron wrote, use the specific intended tools for managing coordinates and position and you can (should) ignore and avoid altering the symbols directly. If I decide I want to use the symbols (as useful markers) I only move them un-clipped.
