    What happens next?

    Hi People,

    Just curious with one of the scenarios, I was asked to make a penetration(sleeve) due to mech model. Just added one in current mech model. Now my question is, would navisworks reads this penetration as an exception whilst running clash detection? In other words, does navisworks won't show an error around that duct/sleeve? How do they work in reality?

    in navisworks I can add a tolerance, so I can have a hard clash which is just object running into object and I can also set a tolerance so I might want to run a clash check between walls and pipes with a tolerance of 5cm clearance.

    Or are you asking if once I add a penetration to my wall if navisworks still shows it as an error?
    The answer there is no, navisworks will not show it as an "error" (or a clash) if I have added a penetration to my wall and the pipe now passes through the peno in the wall face.

      er I might also add there is a plugin called "MagiCad" which is fantastic for penos (it even makes them in linked models and does clash detection) and allows a lot more flexibility in the creation of penos with tolérances that may vary in size depending on their position around the duct/pipe. So I might need 20mm clearance at the top, and only 15mm each side and 5mm at the bottom, and this I can configure and it places automatically a peno in a wall to the parameters that I defined based on the size and placement of the duct/pipe segment passing through the wall

        Each clash has a current status associated with it and each status has a colored icon to identify it. This status is updated automatically by Clash Detective or can be set manually if desired. The statuses are as follows:
